X.TV provides X-Windows control of the RGB/View video windowing hardwareused for the display of television or other real-time video on aworkstation. The RGB/View accepts composite video (NTSC or PAL) or RGBcomponent signals from television, video camera, video recorder or videodisc. The video is displayed in a window which can be positioned,scaled, frozen and overlaid with computer graphics. The system featuresfull 24-bit color processing, brightness, color and contrast controls,and stereo audio. Frame grabbing is available via an SCSI port or VMEinterface.
